He lives.

I am alive. But barely. After 7 weeks in the Himalayas, backpacking, walking, hiking, walking, sleeping, walking, talking, walking, shitting, walking, and a little bit of walking, I am back in my native land. In my grass hut, I am able to finally relax. Occassionally I will get up to spear my dinner at the nearby fish pond, but most of the time I weave baskets to sell to tourists.

Seriously folks, I took a little break. I was a little sick of the computer. Sick sick sick. But, now I've decided that I will be sick for the rest of my life as I cannot get away from the computer. My life now consists of Warcraft, surfing the web, and attempting to create a website.

Oh, and I am getting married next month. This should be a big deal, but it isn't. I mean, it is, but I think I should worry about even MORE important things right now. Like mastering WC3. Arrrgh! Then my second priority would have to be poker night with the guys. More on that later...only if I win next time.

Until tomorrow.

ALOOOHA

Hello hello. And welcome to another addition to Ken's Kollum: Ken's Kollum of Luv. That's right. Ken is back in Hawaii...for good. He's had a vacation from his seemingly endless vacation, which roughly translates into Ken has been officially unemployed for the past 12 months...sob. This is NO JOKE. Ken is considering taking a paper route! It might sound a little crazy, but the way that I figure...I will work short, early (EARLY!) hours, and can use my mommy's car, which means less expenses for now.

And...I need this time to work on my little business project. More on that later. Let's just say that Ken needs some time to do some fine tweaking on his web site.

So...I'm back in Hawaii, and I notice...it's not nearly as hot or humid as Japan. Oh, the price of paradise. I wonder if it's worth it.

Okay. So I was planning on uploading a bunch of really "Hawaiish" pictures...rainbows, mountains, blue skies, my dog. But, we got this new wireless network in our house and the firewall apparently doesn't want to let me upload it, which is really weird since I can upload text.

You get text. That's all.

I'll try to do some more updates on a somewhat more regular basis...since I have no job. For now, I'm off to play WarCraft III like usu...I mean, I'm going to work on my website!

Bye now.

Premier of the Fireflies

Well. As you may or may not have noticed (I won't bother to ask if you care), Ken's Kollum is now in full premier mode. That's right baby. Fill er up. Make it premium!

Thank you to the hot babe that actually bought the premier option for Ken, as he would never have bought it for his tight-ass self.

Have you ever seen fireflies before? It's sort of like looking at the sun, but only better. Yes, yesterday I saw fireflies for about the second time in my life. The funny thing is that we lived in Himeji for 3 years, and never really bothered to even try to see fireflies. So, last night, about 20 meters from where we used to live, we went to this small river. And, there were lots of fireflies there!!! No kidding! Check out this picture and try to see all the fireflies. The person who counts the most, wins a prize...I dead firefly!
This is a picture of one of my may girlfriends, Kanako. She is holding a firefly. Hmmm...the flash on the camera makes the light of the firefly unviewable. Just imagine the sun shining from the butt of a roach.

I'll admit, that this was one of the most interesting experiences of my life. Fireflies are very very cool. I recommend everyone to see them and catch them.

I also tried to take a movie of them. This is actual footage. I hope it comes out on the xanga page...

Okay. It don't work. So I had to link it here. Click to see boring (but REAL!) firefly video footage.

Heheh. Told you it was boring. I guess you had to be there to believe it.

A little bit more about my GF Kanako.

It's almost her birthday!!! June 2. I think she's going to be 9 or 10. I'd better buy her something. Anyway, of course she's cute, and really smart (totally the opposite of her brother). She used to live next door to us when we used to live in Himeji. And would come in without knocking, sometimes when Kkim and I were busy. Heheh.

The thing that I will remember most about her (besides all the crap I bought her and all the crap that she wanted but I didn't buy) is that when I first met her about 3 years ago, I knew more Japanese than she did (I'll try to remember saying this to her on her graduation from high school). (Just so you know the story, she's a Japanese person, living in Japan. I'm a non-Japanese who used to live in Japan teaching on JET.) I could actually teach her new Japanese words and kanji. Now it's probably the other way around. There was a post in our old house that I would mark her height on it. Kkim would get mad because it was marked up with a maker pen. I'm sure those height measurements are still there.

There's lots o' stories, but probably not very interesting. Oh, there was this one time that we were riding home from the store on our bicycles, and she rode fast down this hill. I was in front and slowed down a little, thinking she would slow down a little because she should be cautious riding down hills. Instead of slowing down, she didn't. And then she ate it. Ouch. I was a little sad.

Good night all!

Ken is a Gangsta Poet (Part III: AKA, Ken has to try to prove that he isn't a perverted stalking psycho writing poems only about Xanga Pages written by girls.)

Again, chosen entirely at random. Luckily, this time it's a guy's page...I think. (heheh)

Dammit, it's a girl.

Next random page...

Cool, a guy. AND from Hawaii!

Title: I Write With as Much Sense As I Have

I'm worried, I'm troubled, it's probably all my fault
I'll beat up all my children, with a grain of salt
Dinner with the Tang's, they're a great bunch
Tomorrow with the Tanji's, but only for my lunch

Monday read my head
Friday and I'm dead
Wednesday and tomorrow
We love one another

My friends, my life
my God, my plea
Learn about them all
from stupid new movie

Fuck you fuck you stupid bitch
Tomorrow I go to Oahu
Nothing fits that rhymes with bitch
...FUCK ALL OF YOU!

Ken...is...a little...drained...good...bye. Was going to write about cute fireflies...do that later...

(Editor's note: Now you see why Ken prefers to write poetry based on cute gal Xanga pages?! PS, all this randomness is real. And a little freaky. We'll stick to cutesy gal pages from now on.)

Ken is a Gansta Poet (part II)

Again, found TOTALLY by random. No searching for hot chicks. Let's see where the clicking takes us!

Title: Supah Sutah

Happy star, shining in the sky
You're so bright, you're the only one
Too bad you're the sun
And you've blinded my eyes

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhh. My eyes! My eyes!

(Editor's note: Boys and girls. Yes, the sun is a star. But that don't mean you should look directly at it. Or even indirectly at it. Or even question whether it exists or not. It's there. I think.)
